Jason Raimey is a Professional Ballroom Dance Instructor trained in the following styles of dance: American Smooth and Rhythm and International Standard and Latin. He has been teaching for over 19 years in the United States and abroad.
Jason trained and competed for Fairmont State University located in Fairmont, WV. He was among the first to become a Dance Fellow and earn his certification in the art of ballroom dancing. During this time Jason competed both in the US and around the world.
For the past 12 years, Jason has had the honor of coaching The Spats Youth Dance Sport Foundation an organization with the goal of making dance affordable to youth. The focus has been on children’s dance programs where he has taken groups of children to many competitions in the Southeastern U.S. Jason has taught dance in both the public, private and homeschooling communities. He continues to be a Professor of Dance for Hillsborough College, a guest instructor at studios and dance workshops around the country.
His philanthropic work, achievements and affiliations in the ballroom dance world have enabled him and his students to be designated as an honorees at many prestigious dance events. Many of Jason's students have went on to become professional ballroom dance competitors, teachers and studio owners in their own rights.
Jason lives just above the South Carolina border in Leland, NC and teaches in both the Little River, SC and Wilmington NC area on a regular basis.
